Work Experience

At WKS we understand the importance and value of work experience. In Post 16, we have undertaken the task to find placements and visits that can present our students with experience of the world of work. We know that these can provide our students with a window to view what life may be like for them outside WKS and can help shape their ideas on what careers to choose.

Each year, in the Summer Term, the school also runs a work experience week, where all our Post 16 students have the opportunity to engage with an employer to see what it is like to work at a placement, to build confidence in working in a new environment and to apply skills taught in school in real life situations.
